A deadly shooting in a Paris suburb has left one person dead and four wounded. French police have arrested a suspect near Trappes; investigation ongoing.
POLICY WIRE — Paris, France — A violent shooting incident in a Parisian suburb on Friday resulted in the death of one individual and left four others wounded, according to French law enforcement officials.
The attack occurred when a gunman opened fire from a moving vehicle on a public road. The incident spanned areas within Trappes and La Verrière, located in the Yvelines department approximately 25 to 30 kilometres south-west of Paris.
Authorities confirmed that a suspect was taken into custody near the town of Trappes shortly after the event. At this stage, police have stated that the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
