POLICY WIRE — Hounslow, UK — Authorities have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after a house fire on Berkeley Avenue in Hounslow resulted in the death of a 48-year-old woman and injured eight others. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning, prompting an immediate response from local emergency services.
Firefighters arrived at the scene to find the property heavily damaged. The deceased woman was pronounced dead at the location, while the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their conditions range from minor to serious.
A suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken into custody shortly after the fire was extinguished. Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the blaze and have not ruled out the possibility of foul play.
