POLICY WIRE — Washington, D.C. — Marc Rosenblum, the data chief at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has resigned after more than a decade of service. Rosenblum cited his disagreement with the Trump administration’s immigration policies as the primary reason for his departure.

“I am thrilled to leave the Trump administration behind,” Rosenblum stated in his resignation letter. His exit comes amid growing criticism of the administration’s hardline stance on immigration, often referred to as a “war on immigrants.”

Rosenblum’s role at DHS involved overseeing critical data operations that inform policy decisions. His resignation adds to the list of high-profile departures from the agency during the Trump presidency.

The Trump administration has implemented several controversial immigration policies, including enhanced border security measures, family separations at the border, and attempts to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
