Pakistan today stands firm against terrorism in Balochistan, demonstrating resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment to protecting its citizens. The violence witnessed in the province is not a political struggle or a grassroots movement, as some external narratives attempt to portray. It is a calculated campaign of terrorism aimed at a mission to destabilise Pakistan and sabotaging regional peace. While Pakistan continues to defeat terrorist networks through decisive operations and development initiatives, growing evidence points towards India’s involvement in cross border state sponsored terrorism in Balochistan. The international community must now acknowledge this reality and ensure accountability for actions that threaten stability across South Asia.
Terrorist organisations operating in Balochistan have repeatedly exposed their brutality by targeting civilians. Their attacks are not directed towards military installations alone but deliberately focus on innocent citizens, public transport, labourers and educational institutions. Security monitoring reports show that January 2026 recorded at least 361 deaths nationwide in terrorism related violence, including 73 civilians, highlighting how terrorists continue to target non combatants. Balochistan remains a major target, with 27 terrorist attacks recorded in the province within a single month, reflecting a coordinated and organised terror campaign.
Pakistan has responded to these attacks with decisive and successful counter terrorism operations. Security forces have consistently dismantled terrorist networks, eliminating threats before they could destabilise communities. Official security data confirms that 2,597 terrorists were eliminated during counter terrorism operations in 2025, including 784 terrorists neutralised in Balochistan alone. These operations reflect Pakistan’s operational strength and intelligence superiority in confronting terrorist organisations.
The true nature of terrorist groups became evident during coordinated attacks across Balochistan on 31 January 2026, when terrorists killed 48 Pakistani citizens, including 31 civilians, five women and three children. These cowardly attacks were internationally condemned and further exposed the violent and inhumane agenda of these groups. Terrorists who deliberately target women and children cannot claim to represent any legitimate cause or population.
Another horrific example of terrorist brutality was the Khuzdar school bus attack. According to international monitoring and security reports, terrorists targeted a school bus carrying young students, killing 11 civilians, including eight children, and injuring 53 people, including 39 children. Such attacks demonstrate that terrorists operating in Balochistan are enemies of progress, education and human dignity. Their actions aim to create fear and disrupt the future of the region.
Pakistan has repeatedly highlighted the foreign sponsorship behind these terrorist networks. Security investigations and operational findings have consistently pointed toward India’s involvement in supporting terror activities as part of hybrid warfare strategies. According to official counter terrorism reports, Pakistani security forces eliminated 197 terrorists linked to India sponsored networks during recent operations. Additional operations following coordinated attacks reportedly eliminated more than 100 terrorists described as Indian backed, further strengthening Pakistan’s claims regarding external interference.
The scale and coordination of terrorist attacks in Balochistan further confirms the existence of organised external support. Security monitoring reports reveal that during 2025, terrorists carried out more than 70 coordinated attacks across over 50 locations in Balochistan. Such complex multi location attacks require extensive financial backing, training and logistical planning. These capabilities cannot exist without organised state level support, reinforcing Pakistan’s stance regarding cross border involvement.
Despite persistent terrorist threats, Pakistan continues to strengthen stability and development across Balochistan. The state has invested heavily in infrastructure, economic projects, education facilities and healthcare services. These development initiatives are designed to create employment opportunities, uplift living standards and integrate the province into regional economic networks. Terrorist groups frequently target these projects because they fear the success and prosperity they bring to local communities.
Pakistan’s security forces and institutions have demonstrated exceptional professionalism and capability in protecting national sovereignty. Their intelligence based operations have successfully disrupted terrorist supply chains, dismantled recruitment networks and secured vital economic corridors. These successes reflect Pakistan’s ability not only to defend its territory but also to lead regional counter terrorism efforts.
The continued violence in Balochistan represents a direct threat to regional peace and global security. Terrorism thrives when external sponsorship, propaganda campaigns and misinformation are allowed to operate unchecked. Pakistan has consistently raised the issue of foreign interference at international forums and called for transparent investigations into cross border terrorism. The global community must recognise that ignoring state sponsored terrorism encourages further instability and endangers millions of innocent lives.
India, as a regional actor, must be held accountable for actions that threaten peace and stability in South Asia. Allegations of cross border support for terrorist networks require serious international scrutiny. If such activities continue without accountability, they risk escalating tensions, undermining diplomatic cooperation and disrupting economic connectivity throughout the region.
Pakistan remains committed to ensuring peace, development and security for the people of Balochistan. The province is an integral part of Pakistan’s future economic and strategic vision. The resilience of the Pakistani state, combined with the determination of its people, continues to defeat terrorism and strengthen national unity. Balochistan’s future lies in progress, stability and prosperity, not in the violence imposed by externally supported terrorist organisations.
The world must now move beyond politically influenced narratives and recognise the facts on ground. Pakistan is successfully confronting terrorism while building development and opportunity in Balochistan. The international community must stand against terrorism in all its forms and ensure that those responsible for sponsoring violence are exposed and held accountable.
Balochistan today represents Pakistan’s strength, resilience and commitment to peace. Terrorism cannot and will not determine the future of the region. Pakistan continues to move forward with confidence, stability and determination, ensuring that peace prevails and terrorist agendas fail.
