Recovered Picasso Etching: Stolen Art Found in Milwaukee Apartment

POLICY WIRE — Milwaukee, USA — An etching by Pablo Picasso, stolen from Bill DeLind’s Milwaukee art gallery in 2018, has been found by a landlord in a vacant apartment. DeLind had presumed the artwork was lost forever.

The Picasso print was discovered during a routine inspection of the apartment. The landlord immediately contacted authorities, who confirmed the etching’s identity and returned it to DeLind.

“I never expected to see it again,” DeLind said. The gallery owner expressed relief and gratitude for the artwork’s recovery.
