Prince William May Strip Prince Harry of HRH Title Upon Accession, Former Aide Suggests
Former royal butler Grant Harrold suggests Prince William could remove Prince Harry's HRH title as the royal rift deepens. Get the latest royal update.
POLICY WIRE — London, United Kingdom — Prince William may take decisive action to further separate himself from his brother, Prince Harry, once he ascends to the throne, according to a former royal staffer.
Grant Harrold, who served the royal family including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Princess Kate, and Prince Harry until 2011, suggests that the future monarch could potentially revoke Harry’s HRH title.
The speculation follows reports of a potential documentary concerning the late Princess Diana, which Harrold believes could exacerbate the existing tensions between the two brothers.
Speaking on behalf of OLBG, Harrold noted that under the reign of King William, the monarch might utilize his authority to distance himself from his sibling. He stated that it will be on William’s mind to remove the title, if things continue the way they are.
