Peyton Manning Unlikely to Pursue Indianapolis Colts General Manager Position
Peyton Manning is reportedly not interested in the Indianapolis Colts general manager job and has not been approached by the team, sources indicate.
POLICY WIRE — Indianapolis, United States — Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning is not anticipated to emerge as a candidate for the Indianapolis Colts’ vacant general manager position, according to reports.
Insiders indicated that the franchise has not reached out to Manning regarding the front office role, and he is widely believed to lack interest in pursuing it.
When the general manager position opened up six days ago, the former signal-caller was immediately brought up by observers as a natural fit for the organization.
However, sources cited by ESPN’s Adam Schefter explained that the extensive time commitment required to manage an NFL front office would clash heavily with Manning’s current post-playing ventures.
Those outside projects include Omaha Productions and the popular Manningcast alternate broadcast alongside his brother, Eli Manning.
Furthermore, Schefter noted that Manning has neither trained nor aspired to step into an NFL general manager role, given his busy schedule and numerous professional commitments.
