Russian Drone Strikes Target Cargo Vessel and Ukrainian Logistics Hubs
Russian defense officials report overnight drone strikes hitting a cargo ship near Chornomorsk and multiple logistics hubs across Ukraine's key regions.
POLICY WIRE — Moscow, Russian Federation — The Russian Defence Ministry announced on Sunday that its drone fleet successfully targeted a cargo vessel navigating toward the Black Sea port of Chornomorsk during an overnight military operation.
Officials in Moscow stated that the vessel was actively engaged in supplying the Ukrainian military. Beyond the maritime strike, Russian forces reportedly hit a logistics center, a distribution facility, and a logistics terminal located within the city of Kharkiv.
According to the ministry, these facilities were utilized for the storage and distribution of dual-use cargo intended for Ukrainian armed forces. Additional strikes were reported against two logistics hubs situated in the Volyn region and the city of Khmelnitskiy.
These actions follow a series of recent military engagements involving maritime and logistics infrastructure. Previous reports from the Russian Defence Ministry noted strikes on cargo vessels in the port of Reni and near Odesa, as well as operations targeting data centers and industrial sites.
