Kremlin Signals Readiness for Trilateral Ukraine Peace Talks in November
Russian President Vladimir Putin agrees in principle to resume peace negotiations with the US and Ukraine this November, Kremlin official confirms.
POLICY WIRE — Moscow, Russia — Russian President Vladimir Putin has signaled a willingness to restart trilateral negotiations aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The potential talks would involve representatives from both the United States and Kyiv.
The development follows a meeting in St. Petersburg between the Russian leader and Steve Witkoff, the special envoy appointed by U.S. President Donald Trump. Kremlin foreign affairs adviser Yuri Ushakov confirmed to reporters that Putin has agreed in principle to resume these discussions following November 10.
Diplomatic efforts to end the war have remained stagnant for months, with no formal trilateral negotiations occurring since February. While the Kremlin has expressed a readiness to return to the table, the proposed framework suggests a potential shift toward addressing the demands of Ukraine and its European allies alongside Moscow’s stated red lines.
