Geely Partners with Google to Integrate In-Car Services Across Global Brands
Discover how Geely Holding Group and Google are bringing built-in services like Gemini and Maps to overseas vehicle brands starting in 2027.
POLICY WIRE — Beijing, China — China-based automotive giant Geely Holding Group announced a major global strategic partnership with Google to equip vehicles across its brand portfolio with native digital cabin technologies.
The collaboration will introduce integrated Google Automotive Services, featuring the Gemini assistant, Google Play, and Google Maps, to international markets where Google platforms are accessible.
This initiative builds upon an existing relationship that previously included brands such as Volvo and Polestar, extending the digital ecosystem across a broader range of the company’s automotive nameplates.
According to the official announcement, the software rollout will progressively reach various marques including Geely, Lynk & Co, Proton, Riddara, and Smart.
The inaugural vehicle equipped with these native Google capabilities is scheduled to launch during the second half of 2027 in global territories situated outside of China and the United States.
Deployment remains contingent upon meeting all necessary product development benchmarks, regulatory compliance standards, and local market readiness evaluations.
