Meijer tops customer satisfaction rankings, surpassing Buc-ee’s in new convenience store study.
POLICY WIRE — City, Country — A recent survey has revealed a shift in consumer preferences, with Meijer emerging as the top-rated convenience store chain in the U.S., according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index.
The data shows that Buc-ee’s, known for its beaver-themed stores and large locations, now ranks fourth with a score of 77. Meanwhile, Meijer, primarily recognized for its grocery stores, climbed to an impressive 82, outperforming other major chains like QuikTrip, Sheetz, and Wawa, which all scored 80.

The rankings were based on over 9,475 customer responses collected from October 2025 to September 2026. The evaluation included factors such as food quality, cleanliness, merchandise selection, and employee service. Despite the satisfaction score dropping slightly to 75, mobile order pickup received a strong rating of 82, marking a new focus area for convenience stores.
