James Cody Bryant, who the FBI identifies as female, was arrested and faces charges of conspiracy to murder individuals in a foreign country. The incident occurred on February 10 in Tumbler Ridge, where the shooter, Jesse Van Rootselaar, killed five students, a teacher, and two other individuals before taking her own life.

Bryant maintained contact with the shooter via Discord and provided guidance, financial assistance, and even offered to help stream the attack live. The attack was briefly broadcast on Twitch, with only one account, reportedly linked to Bryant, viewing it for about 20 seconds.
