Motsepe emphasized that CAF remains fully committed to supporting the three East African nations as they work to meet key deadlines. He acknowledged that while progress is being made, there is still significant work to be done ahead of the event, which is set to take place from June 19 to July 17, 2027.

Speaking during a press conference in Dar es Salaam, Motsepe said there is no alternative plan for the tournament, stating, There is no Plan B, there is no Plan C, there never will be. He praised the efforts underway in Tanzania and urged all parties to accelerate progress on critical infrastructure and facilities.
