POLICY WIRE — City, Country — Liverpool Football Club has finalized a landmark five-year sponsorship agreement with Turkish Airlines, set to take effect on June 1, 2027. This marks the first time the club’s main shirt sponsor will change since 2010, ending a 17-year partnership with Standard Chartered.
The deal, reported to be worth more than £300 million ($405.78 million), is expected to rank among the most valuable in Premier League history. While exact figures remain unconfirmed, it is believed to rival Manchester United’s recent sponsorship deal with Qualcomm, which was signed in August 2024.

According to a club statement, Standard Chartered will continue as a global partner, but Turkish Airlines will assume the primary branding role on Liverpool’s match shirts. Ben Latty, Liverpool’s chief commercial officer, highlighted the significance of the partnership, referencing the club’s historic 2005 Champions League final victory in Istanbul. The airline, already a major football sponsor, will now feature prominently on men’s, women’s, and Academy kits starting in the 2027-28 season.
