POLICY WIRE — London, UK — Jordon Ibe, a former winger for Liverpool, has avoided a prison sentence after admitting to the assault of his former girlfriend.
The 30-year-old athlete pleaded guilty to the charges stemming from a confrontation with his ex-partner, Amie Mayson.
The incident took place outside Mayson’s residence located in Lambeth, London.
Court details reveal that the assault occurred during a dispute regarding money, during which Ibe pulled a braid out of Mayson’s hair.
During the legal proceedings, Ibe expressed that he was “genuinely remorseful” for the altercation.
