Cruz shared a clip from the @lebatardshowfan account showing Parton’s 1979 performance on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He praised her as a ‘legend’ with emojis.

Immediately after Cruz’s post, the account holder changed their username to ‘Ted Cruz’s tiny d***’. They also responded with a scathing message about Cruz’s past political actions.

The post remained on Cruz’s feed for 17 hours before he deleted it. Many people enjoyed his social media mishap, with some calling it the ‘QT of the year’.
