POLICY WIRE — London, UK — The severe downpours that led to flash flooding across the United Kingdom are expected to ease by Friday, paving the way for a sunnier weekend, according to the latest weather forecasts.
Met Office meteorologist Ben Rich provided an update on the changing conditions. “The heavy rain that has caused significant flash flooding will gradually diminish through Friday. We anticipate a return to sunnier conditions over the weekend,” Rich stated.
Despite the improved daytime weather, residents should prepare for cooler temperatures at night. “While the days will be pleasant with increasing sunshine, the nights will remain chilly,” Rich added.
The Met Office continues to monitor the situation, providing regular updates to ensure the public remains informed about any changes in weather conditions.
