POLICY WIRE — Manchester, U.K. — A man from Stockport is set to stand trial today in Manchester, accused of conspiring with 12 other individuals to drug and sexually assault his wife while she was unconscious.

The defendant, whose identity is protected by law to safeguard the anonymity of the alleged victim, vehemently denies the charges brought against him. These include 11 counts of rape, two counts of attempted rape, and various other sexual offenses and conspiracy charges.
