POLICY WIRE — Bangkok, Thailand — A 12-year-old girl died from critical injuries on Saturday, following a school shooting incident the previous day, raising the death toll to nine. The incident occurred when a 14-year-old student opened fire at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Nonthaburi province, northwest of Bangkok, before apparently taking his own life.

Authorities reported that the gunman had also killed his two grandparents at his family home earlier that morning. The 12-year-old girl, who had been critically wounded in the attack, succumbed to her injuries, bringing the total number of fatalities to nine.
