In the past few weeks, several shocking leaks and media reports have shown how the Indian government and its media are working together to create support for war against Pakistan. Leaked messages from Telegram and fake news spread on TV channels have made it clear that India is using lies, emotional drama, and fear to control public opinion and hide the truth.
The latest example is the Pahalgam attack in April 2025, where 26 innocent people, most of them tourists, lost their lives in Indian-occupied Kashmir. Instead of waiting for a proper investigation, Indian media and government leaders quickly blamed Pakistan. Within hours, India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, closed its airspace to Pakistani planes, and stopped issuing visas to Pakistani citizens. These extreme steps seemed less like a reaction to a tragedy and more like a planned move to create war-like conditions.
Not long after, Telegram leaks started spreading online. Screenshots shared on social media showed internal Indian Army messages warning that the Pahalgam attack could be used as a reason to start a conflict. These leaks suggest that India may have known what was coming and planned how to use it to its advantage. Instead of addressing the leaks seriously, Indian officials simply called them fake and ignored them.
This isn’t the first time India has acted this way. In 2019, during the Pulwama attack, over 40 Indian soldiers were killed. Later, the former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik, revealed that the attack could have been prevented. He said the CRPF had requested air transport, but the Indian government refused. He was told to keep quiet so Pakistan could be blamed. That same attack helped Modi win the elections by presenting himself as a strong leader.
Now, history is repeating itself. With elections approaching again, India is trying to build public support for another possible conflict. But this time, there’s something different. Top Indian military officers who disagreed with this strategy are being removed. Air Marshal S.P. Dharkar was suddenly fired after only seven months. Lieutenant General M.V. Suchindra Kumar was replaced just before retirement. Reports say they refused to support war plans that were based on false claims. Is this how India treats its soldiers who speak the truth?
India claims to be the world’s biggest democracy, but in reality, it silences anyone who dares to ask questions. Journalists are arrested. Activists are called anti-national. Now, even senior officers are being removed if they don’t follow the political script. Meanwhile, Indian TV channels are playing their part in this game.
Channels like Republic TV, Times Now, and Zee News run endless shows blaming Pakistan, showing fake war graphics, and pushing emotional stories. They don’t ask for evidence. They don’t invite experts. They only repeat what the government tells them to say. After the Pahalgam attack, these channels aired programs showing fake airstrike maps and war plans, turning a tragic event into political entertainment.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s response has been calm and responsible. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif clearly said Pakistan had nothing to do with the attack. He asked for an international investigation. Pakistan’s military spokesperson, Lt. Gen. Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, warned India not to mistake Pakistan’s patience for weakness. He said, “Pakistan is ready. Don’t test us.” This shows Pakistan doesn’t want war, but it will defend itself if forced.
India has a long history of spreading lies about Pakistan. In 2023, the EU DisinfoLab uncovered a fake news network run by India that targeted Pakistan globally. Over 750 fake media outlets were used to create a false image of Pakistan and push Indian propaganda. These networks even used fake human rights groups to mislead the world.
So, why is India doing all this? The answer is simple. The Modi government is facing serious internal problems, including unemployment, poverty, caste discrimination, and violence against minorities. To distract the public, they create outside enemies. By blaming Pakistan, they try to unite the public and win votes. This is not leadership, it’s manipulation.
Pakistan, in contrast, is handling the situation with maturity. It is focusing on facts, diplomacy, and truth. It is showing the world that peace cannot come through lies or war threats. Instead of reacting with aggression, Pakistan is exposing the truth behind Indian propaganda.
In today’s world, wars don’t just start on the battlefield. They start on social media, on news channels, and in WhatsApp groups. False information is now the most dangerous weapon. And the Indian media is using it every day. But Pakistan has one thing that Indian propaganda cannot defeat, the truth. And in times of lies and fake news, the truth is the most powerful tool we have.
