Naked Trump Statue Unveiled in European Parliament as ‘Orange Plague’
A gold-plated nude statue of Trump, titled 'Orange Plague,' is displayed in the European Parliament, criticizing his policies.
POLICY WIRE — Strasbourg, France — A towering golden sculpture of a naked Donald Trump has been installed in the European Parliament, drawing attention for its provocative depiction and political commentary.
The eight-foot artwork, named The Orange Plague, was created by Danish artist Jens Galschiøt. It shows Trump standing atop a smaller figure, holding a golf club and a globe in one hand and a set of scales in the other, symbolizing power and imbalance.

Galschiøt described the piece as a satirical critique of Trump’s environmental and foreign policies, calling him a threat to global order and climate efforts. The sculpture also references his earlier work, Survival of the Fattest, which highlighted global inequality. The installation will remain on display until Thursday and is set to appear again at the UN COP31 Climate Conference in November.
