POLICY WIRE — Mexico City, Mexico — Two fishermen, aged 53 and 32, were rescued after spending five days adrift in a cooler, 75 miles off the coast of Mexico. The men lost contact with their fishing cooperative on August 14.
The men were discovered by a passing vessel, which immediately notified the Mexican Navy. The fishermen were in a state of severe dehydration but are expected to recover. Details on their rescue and current condition are forthcoming.
