Melania’s Advisor Speaks Out on Natalie Harp’s Role and Relationship with Trump
Melania Trump's top aide defends Natalie Harp, calling media obsession with her 'garbage tabloid gossip.'
POLICY WIRE — Washington, D.C. — A senior advisor to Melania Trump has addressed recent attention surrounding Natalie Harp, a key White House aide to former President Donald Trump, dismissing media speculation as baseless and highlighting Harp’s professional dedication.
Harp, who serves as Trump’s executive assistant, has drawn public interest due to reports of her close proximity to the former president, including claims that she slept in the golf club’s locker room and traveled in an SUV trunk to remain near him. These details have fueled ongoing discussion about her role within the administration.
Marc Beckman, a top advisor to the first lady, criticized mainstream media for focusing on what he called “garbage tabloid gossip” about Harp, emphasizing her hard work and loyalty. He also highlighted her personal story, noting that Trump helped her access experimental cancer treatment through a 2018 law. The former president’s support reportedly saved her life, according to Harp.
Beckman further accused the press of ignoring the first lady’s accomplishments while fixating on personal details. He argued that the media should focus on real journalism rather than rumors about the Trump family. This comes amid increased scrutiny of Harp after reports revealed her presence during a high-security moment when Trump left the NATO summit in Turkey.
Recent coverage has also focused on Harp’s deep connection to Trump, including a $45,000 holiday gift from the former president and a heartfelt letter she wrote following his 2024 election victory. Meanwhile, Melania Trump has remained largely out of the public spotlight during her husband’s second term, missing several high-profile events over the past year.
