POLICY WIRE — Seremban, Malaysia — Malaysian authorities are investigating three separate reports of alleged vote-buying ahead of the Negeri Sembilan state election scheduled for Saturday.

Negeri Sembilan police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Alzafny Ahmad reported on Friday that two of the incidents were lodged in Seremban and one in Port Dickson.

In the first incident, a 69-year-old man from Sikamat claimed that a group of men handed him 300 ringgit (approximately US$74) in cash to vote for a specific candidate. “The men, who arrived in a car, allegedly gave him the money in an envelope before…”
