Almost 80% of water flows from IIOJ&K reach the plains of Pakistan through the mountains of Kashmir. India thinks that it will try to put pressure on Pakistan or commit water terrorism by stopping the water of Pakistan’s rivers and nothing will be said to it. Pakistan is a state of 240 million people which is already facing severe crises like climate change and water scarcity. In such a situation, if India tries to do this, it will have serious consequences. Just as there is a lot of discussion these days about what will happen if India tries to end the Indus Water Treaty. If India tries to end implementation on this treaty in the future, then a big war can be expected because this water is a matter of life and death for the future of Pakistan. Keeping this in mind, perhaps Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah also called Kashmir a jugular vein.
Many people or countries thinks that what resources does Kashmir have for which neither Pakistan nor India is ready to back down? So the answer is “water”. What natural resource can be bigger than this? India’s growing population and large area will also increase its need for this resource, i.e. water, in the future and therefore it wants to divert the waters of Pakistan. If we examine the Kashmir issue carefully, it is seen that now China has also joined it. As third party to this issue, India and Pakistan do not give much importance to China but they give great importance to the Kashmir areas that are between them. Which is an argument that the main problem of both countries is based on “water”.
The modern wars will be fought on water is a widely debated concept, particularly regarding water scarcity and conflict. While water scarcity can exacerbate existing tensions and potentially lead to conflicts. Water scarcity can indeed be a major factor in conflict. When resources are limited, competition for them can intensify, potentially leading to disputes between communities, countries, or even within nations.
In this situation, we have to understand one thing that Kashmir can never come into existence as an independent state. It will have to be annexed by either India or Pakistan, otherwise the third party China will never delay in occupying it. A clear proof or example of this is the occupation of East Turkestan or the Ladakh region in 1962, which was a Muslim-majority area. This was the reason why in 2019, India increased the number of troops by giving the status of separate Union Territories to Jammu and Ladakh. If we see, Kashmir can become the hub of Pakistan’s electricity, tourism, fruit, water and many other industries. If Indian-occupied Kashmir is liberated from Indian domination, it can play an important role in Pakistan’s economy and in addition to electricity, the water shortage in the areas of Balochistan, Sindh and South Punjab in Pakistan can also be eliminated.
As our country’s founder said that Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir, we have been and will continue to struggle to complete it. Pakistan continues to fully support the Kashmiri people diplomatically, politically and in every way and Pakistan is hopeful that this issue will be resolved peacefully in accordance with the UN Charter. If India takes any illegal or anti-Pakistan action, then there is no option but War.
India has repeatedly committed terrorist incidents in occupied Kashmir, and the blame is placed on Pakistan without any evidence. And on this pretext, India finds an excuse to take action against Pakistan. It has only one goal and that is to end the Kashmir issue and completely occupy Kashmir. Despite a disputed area where there are about nine lakh Indian troops, the occurrence of terrorist incidents there shows the incompetence and failure of the Indian army… Always remember that you can stop the revolution for some time but you cannot stop it forever. The plan to genocide the Muslims of occupied Kashmir and settle people of other religions there will also fail and the Kashmiri people will not give up. The events of the past few days between India and Pakistan have once again put the Kashmir issue before the world and India has once again suffered a major diplomatic defeat.
Because India had made this issue its internal issue, recent events have once again made it clear that Kashmir is a disputed territory that will be decided by the Kashmiri people.
