POLICY WIRE — Hong Kong — A buyer associated with the affluent family behind Ningbo Tuopu Group has purchased a luxury villa in Hong Kong’s Tai Po area for HK$145.6 million (US$18.5 million). This transaction indicates renewed interest from mainland Chinese investors in the city’s premium residential market.
Wu Xiaoming agreed to buy a property at Villa Lucca, located at 7 Lucca Avenue, on July 17 under an off-plan agreement for sale and purchase, according to Land Registry records. The four-bedroom standalone garden house boasts a saleable area of 5,281 sq ft.
This acquisition underscores the continued flow of mainland wealth into Hong Kong’s luxury real estate sector, a trend that has persisted despite geopolitical tensions and economic fluctuations.
