The incident occurred on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of four people and injuries to five others. Yaraisi Santiso Morejon, the spouse of Yoel Rodriguez Naranjo, filed the legal action three days after the tragedy, naming Amazon, Amazon Air Cargo, and 21 Air as defendants.

The lawsuit claims the crash was caused by multiple preventable failures, including pilot error and inadequate training. It also accuses the two surviving pilots of attempting a high-speed landing affected by a tailwind, which led to the plane overshooting the runway by over 1,000 feet, according to the plaintiff’s attorneys.
