Winters is seeking both compensatory — and punitive damages. The lawsuit claims that Winters faced a hostile work environment due to his race and was subsequently terminated in retaliation for complaining about the discriminatory practices.

According to the complaint, Winters experienced ongoing racial harassment — and was unfairly passed over for promotions. The lawsuit further alleges that after voicing his concerns to management, he was wrongfully terminated and defamed by company officials.

Six Flags has yet to issue an official statement regarding the allegations. The company is expected to respond to the lawsuit in the coming weeks.
