Butterfield Bermuda Championship Final Round Postponed Amid Severe Weather
Severe winds and heavy rain force the postponement of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship final round. Officials weigh options for a Monday finish.
POLICY WIRE — Southampton, Bermuda — The final round of the 2026 Butterfield Bermuda Championship has been officially postponed following a day of severe weather conditions at Port Royal Golf Course.
Tournament organizers were forced to halt play on Sunday as heavy rain and intense wind gusts, which reached speeds exceeding 40 mph, made conditions unplayable. Despite efforts to mitigate the impact by moving tee times to an earlier start, the weather failed to improve.
The suspension of play leaves the tournament schedule in flux, with the possibility of a Monday finish currently under evaluation. Officials have indicated that further updates regarding the resumption of the final round will be provided as the situation develops.
The delay impacts the field, including Séamus Power, who is currently contending for his third PGA Tour title. Players will remain sidelined until conditions at the Southampton venue are deemed safe for competition.
