Amol Rajan Reflects on Early Exit from Celebrity Traitors
Amol Rajan admits he 'played the wrong game' after being eliminated early on Celebrity Traitors. The broadcaster shares insights on his experience.
POLICY WIRE — London, United Kingdom — Broadcaster Amol Rajan has admitted he made the wrong strategic choices during his brief appearance on the new season of The Celebrity Traitors, a BBC reality series where contestants are targeted by hidden traitors.
Rajan, 43, was the first contestant to be eliminated in the latest episode, falling victim to secret traitors Richard E Grant and Maya Jama. Comedian James Acaster joined as the third traitor for the series. During Thursday’s broadcast, Rajan and Acaster attempted to convince Grant and Jama to recruit them instead of eliminating them.

In an interview on the spin-off show The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, Rajan reflected on his performance, stating that he wished he had been chosen as a traitor. He noted that if he had been given the chance to switch sides, he might have performed well due to his understanding of the game from the loyal participant perspective. Rajan also warned that entering the game as a journalist who asks difficult questions meant he needed to remain quiet to avoid early elimination.
