POLICY WIRE — Christchurch, New Zealand — India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has been officially ruled out of the second Twenty20 International against New Zealand. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Friday that the 28-year-old sustained a low-grade right adductor strain.

As the five-match series continues, team management is evaluating potential replacements. Batting coach Sitanshu Kotak has identified Vaibhav Sooryavanshi as one of the strongest contenders to step into the lineup for the upcoming clash.
