POLICY WIRE — Washington, D.C. — Former Vice President Kamala Harris is broadening her final fall travel schedule to campaign for Democratic contenders, organizing a heavy itinerary across critical early primary states ahead of Election Day.
Running from October 21 through October 30, the expanded final stretch of her journey adds stops in New Hampshire, Wisconsin, and Mississippi, alongside a virtual appearance in Florida. These new additions complement previously announced visits to Nevada and Georgia.
While Harris has repeatedly emphasized in interviews that her present priority is driving Democratic wins this autumn, she has left open the door for another presidential run following her 2024 loss to Donald Trump.
The late-October circuit centers largely on contenders running for governor or the U.S. Senate, giving the nation’s first Black female vice president a platform to stand alongside candidates who could likewise achieve historic milestones.
Her tour kicks off on October 21 in Nevada alongside Aaron Ford, the state’s initial Black attorney general who is aiming to become its first Black governor, in addition to other Democratic nominees.
She is additionally scheduled to visit members of the Culinary Workers Union within the state, which holds the second nominating primary on the 2028 Democratic schedule following South Carolina.
On October 22, Harris heads to Mississippi to campaign alongside Scott Colom, who is competing to become the state’s inaugural Black U.S. senator since the Reconstruction era. Colom’s campaign against sitting Republican Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith has attracted rising national Democratic attention.
Transitioning to New Hampshire on October 24, Harris will team up with Senate nominee Chris Pappas for an engagement centered on reproductive healthcare and abortion access.
Throughout her time as vice president, she acted as the chief advocate for abortion rights within the Biden administration, particularly during the 2022 midterms. New Hampshire is positioned third in the 2028 primary sequence.
She will subsequently appear in Wisconsin alongside gubernatorial nominee David Crowley on October 26, before launching into a three-day swing through Georgia beginning October 28.
