Soluri’s remains were found by a fisherman in Brushy Creek in June and sent for testing at the University of North Texas. He reportedly confessed to strangling her during an argument and discarding her body in a black trash bag near a bridge.

Day faces a $200,000 bond, while Joni Thomas, a friend of his, has been charged with evidence tampering after allegedly helping to conceal the remains. Soluri, who worked for Envoy Air, was last seen on March 21, 2025, and was reported missing two months later. Surveillance footage from the night of her disappearance showed Day dragging what appeared to be a lifeless body from their shared home. The case was escalated to a homicide unit after it was revealed she had recently purchased a car, suggesting she did not leave voluntarily.
