Former ‘That’s So Raven’ Star Sentenced to 30 Months for Firearm Charge

POLICY WIRE — Kansas City, United States — A former child actor known for his role on the Disney series That’s So Raven has been handed a 30-month federal prison sentence for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The incident occurred in September 2025 when Bobb’e J. Thompson, 30, was pulled over for speeding at 104 mph in a 70 mph zone in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. During the traffic stop, law enforcement detected the scent of marijuana and noticed Thompson and a passenger exchanging seats.

A search of the vehicle uncovered multiple bags of marijuana and a fully loaded .40 caliber handgun with a 15-round magazine and a round in the chamber. The weapon had been reported stolen from a Kansas City vehicle. Thompson pleaded guilty to the firearm charge in April and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand in Sioux City on September 16.
