Russian Drone Assault on Kyiv Continues, Severely Disrupting Capital Life

POLICY WIRE — Kyiv, Ukraine — The relentless Russian drone attacks on Kyiv and its surrounding areas have persisted for five consecutive days, leading to almost continuous air raid sirens that have thrown the Ukrainian capital into disarray. The Foreign Ministry reported that prolonged air raids on Thursday effectively placed Kyiv under lockdown for 15 hours, severely impacting the economy and civilian life.

This latest phase of Russia’s assault has seen waves of armed drones targeting busy areas of Kyiv, overwhelming the city’s air defenses and exhausting its residents, who have been enduring years of conflict.
