POLICY WIRE — Miami, FL — Courtney Clenney, a model known for her presence on OnlyFans, has been sentenced to six years in prison for the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, in a Miami condominium. The sentencing follows a high-profile trial that garnered significant media attention.
Clenney was initially charged with second-degree murder after the incident, which occurred in April 2022. During the trial, Clenney’s defense argued that the stabbing was in self-defense, claiming that Obumseli had a history of domestic violence. Prosecutors, however, contended that the evidence did not support a self-defense claim.
The court ultimately convicted Clenney of manslaughter, leading to the six-year sentence. Notably, she received credit for the four years she has already served in custody, meaning she will serve an additional two years behind bars.
“The court has considered all evidence and testimonies presented during the trial,” stated Judge [Name]. “The sentence reflects the gravity of the offense while taking into account the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
Clenney’s legal team has indicated they may appeal the verdict, arguing that the sentence does not adequately reflect the self-defense claims presented during the trial.
