U.S. House Toward Impeaching Pete Hegseth Following Midterm Defeat

POLICY WIRE — Washington, D.C. — The House of Representatives is moving toward an impeachment process for Pete Hegseth following significant losses for the GOP in the recent midterm elections. Republican members have reportedly distanced themselves from Hegseth in the wake of the electoral defeat rout.

Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries has signaled his support for the impeachment proceedings, describing his stance as a hard yes. This shift comes as internal pressure within the Republican party grows regarding the impact of his involvement on election results.
