Trump Media Proposes $100,000 Monthly Fee for Premium Access to Presidential Posts
Trump Media & Technology Group pitches Wall Street traders a $100,000 monthly fee for faster access to Donald Trump's Truth Social posts.
POLICY WIRE — Washington, D.C. — Donald Trump’s social media company, Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), has proposed charging Wall Street traders and investment firms up to $100,000 per month for faster access to the former U.S. president’s posts on its Truth Social platform, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The company has also pitched a discounted plan of $60,000 per month if firms commit to a three-year subscription, the sources said, requesting anonymity due to the confidential nature of the discussions.
Trump Media & Technology Group, which owns Truth Social, has been exploring various revenue streams to monetize the platform. The proposed fee structure aims to attract financial institutions looking to gain an edge in trading by accessing real-time updates from the former president.
The discussions come amid growing interest in social media platforms as sources of market-moving information. Financial firms have increasingly turned to social media for insights, particularly from influential figures like Donald Trump, whose posts have previously caused market fluctuations.
TMTG’s proposition highlights the intersection of social media, finance, and politics, raising questions about the influence of social platforms on market behaviors. The company is yet to make an official announcement regarding the pricing plans.
