A 16-year-old suspect appeared before a magistrate in Johor on Sunday, where a six-day remand was granted until October 9. The other two suspects, also aged 16, remain unaccounted for. Police have launched an inquiry under Section 302 of the Penal Code, and an autopsy was conducted at Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital in Batu Pahat. Authorities have not yet determined the motive or circumstances surrounding the crime.
