Talarico’s Texas Home Presence Confirmed by Security Photos During Campaign Absence
Photos show Talarico in Texas during flu-related campaign break, dispelling rumors. Campaign disputes conspiracy claims.
POLICY WIRE — Austin, Texas — A series of security camera images have emerged that appear to confirm state lawmaker and Democratic candidate James Talarico was at his home in Texas throughout a two-week period when he was absent from the campaign trail.
Talarico had previously attributed his disappearance to a severe case of the flu, which drew scrutiny from his Republican opponent, Ken Paxton. However, his campaign released the images on Monday, showing the candidate at his residence from October 1 through October 8, just one day before he reappeared publicly.
The Lindner Center of Hope in Mason, Ohio, which became the center of recent conspiracy theories, also stated that Talarico has never received treatment there. Talarico’s campaign spokesperson, J.T. Ennis, called the allegations a fabricated attempt to support a baseless conspiracy theory, emphasizing that Talarico was recovering at home in Austin.
