POLICY WIRE — Ukraine — Ukrainian emergency officials confirmed that Russian airstrikes have killed at least 26 people at a humanitarian aid distribution center and an adjacent shelter in the southern Zaporizhzhia region.
The attack, which took place on Monday, resulted in deaths among civilian infrastructure targets, including two rescue workers and four police officers, according to the State Emergency Service (DSNS).
This escalation occurs as the United States announced plans for new peace talks scheduled for November 10 and 11, providing a diplomatic counterpoint to the ongoing violence on the ground.
