There can be no misunderstanding and no neutrality when it comes to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). This is not a political group, not a voice of dissent, and not a misunderstood movement. It is a foreign-backed terrorist organization that has waged war on the Pakistani people, bombed our schools, massacred our children, ambushed our soldiers, and tried to dismantle the state from within. And in return, it has received nothing but total rejection from the people of Pakistan and relentless resistance from the state.
The TTP’s ideology is rooted in hate and chaos. Its history is soaked in blood from the gruesome APS school attack in 2014 to its recent ambushes on police and security forces. These are not the actions of freedom fighters. These are the tactics of cowards. The group targets polio teams, burns down schools, and bombs mosques. It does not represent Islam, it does not represent Pashtuns, and it certainly does not represent Pakistan. Its only aim is destruction, and its only strategy is fear.
Pakistan’s response has been unmatched. Few nations have fought terrorism as bravely, as independently, and as effectively as Pakistan has. Operations like Zarb-e-Azb, Radd-ul-Fasaad, and countless intelligence-led missions broke the TTP’s back, cleared our tribal belt, and dismantled their command structures. Their safe havens were destroyed, their leaders hunted down, and their networks crippled. And let’s be clear: these victories were not handed to us they were earned with the blood of our soldiers and the resilience of our people.
Despite this, the TTP continues to operate from across the border in Afghanistan, taking advantage of weak control and turning Afghan soil into a launching pad for attacks on Pakistan. They are being protected and used by hostile foreign agencies to destabilize our country. But Pakistan has made it clear to the world: our patience is not endless. No state can allow terrorists to use neighboring territory as a sanctuary. Pakistan reserves the right to defend itself militarily, diplomatically, and through all available means. And we will.
The TTP’s attempts to revive insurgency will fail because the people of Pakistan are not with them. In fact, they are against everything the TTP stands for. Pakistanis want peace, development, and security not the return of terror. From Khyber to Karachi, the nation is united. Political leaders across the spectrum have condemned the TTP. Tribal elders have rejected their calls. Even religious scholars have declared their actions anti-Islamic. The TTP today is isolated, discredited, and despised.
And yet, despite its crimes, Pakistan has shown maturity. We tried engagement hoping that some factions would renounce violence. They betrayed every word, used talks to regroup, and returned to killing. That mistake will not be repeated. There will be no talks with terrorists. There will be no deals with those who spill Pakistani blood. The only future for the TTP is defeat on every front, in every valley, in every corner.
Pakistan’s war against the TTP is not just a military campaign it is a national mission. It is about defending our constitution, our democracy, and our right to live without fear. It is about ensuring that no child ever again faces a gunman in school. That no soldier ever again is martyred by a suicide bomber hiding behind false slogans. And that no mother has to bury her son because terrorists wanted headlines.
The TTP wants to drag Pakistan backwards. But we are moving forward toward regional leadership, economic recovery, and global respect. We are building infrastructure, investing in education, and expanding digital access. The state is stronger than ever. Our armed forces are experienced, our intelligence networks are advanced, and our people are united. The TTP has no future in this country not now, not ever.
The message is simple. Pakistan is done tolerating terror. The TTP is an enemy of the state and of the people. It will be hunted, dismantled, and erased piece by piece, cell by cell until the land it once terrorized knows only peace.
Because this is Pakistan. We do not surrender. We overcome. And we will win.
