POLICY WIRE — TAOS, New Mexico — Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham initiated a series of statewide environmental cleanup efforts on Friday, coinciding with Earth Day celebrations.
These events saw the participation of actors Daniel Moncada and Luis Moncada, widely recognized for their roles as "The Cousins" in the critically acclaimed television series Breaking Bad and its prequel, Better Call Saul.
The acclaimed duo also features prominently in New Mexico‘s current "Breaking Bad Habits" public awareness campaign, which aims to combat litter across the state. Governor Lujan Grisham engaged with volunteers at key locations including Ranchitos Park in Española and Eco Park in Taos during Friday’s activities.
Statewide Cleanup Efforts Expand
While the initial cleanups took place on Friday, additional community events are scheduled to continue throughout the weekend. The Governor and "The Cousins" are slated to make appearances at two further organized cleanup initiatives this Saturday.
