NATO General Warns of Overwhelming Military Response to Any Russian Aggression
NATO's top commander vows to destroy 'anything and everything' in response to a Russian attack. New strategy outlined as tensions rise.
POLICY WIRE — Brussels, Belgium — NATO’s highest-ranking military official issued a strong warning to Russia on Monday, stating that the alliance would respond with total destruction to any potential attack on its territory.
Speaking at the Warsaw Security Forum, US Air Force General Alexus Grynkewich emphasized that NATO remains a defensive alliance but made it clear that any act of aggression would be met with an immediate and overwhelming countermeasure.
The general’s remarks come amid growing concerns over Moscow’s actions, as NATO’s 2022 Strategic Concept identifies Russia as the alliance’s most pressing security threat. He reiterated that if any nation were to act recklessly, NATO would be prepared to fight without hesitation.
