The fair’s spokesperson confirmed that the artist requested the removal of the bean-made piece, as reported by CBS News. The artwork incorporated the numbers “8647,” a slang term meaning to remove combined with Trump’s presidential number.
The Department of Justice under Trump has declared that the phrase “8647” represents a serious expression of intent to harm the President of the United States.
A fair visitor, Tyler Breuch, shared with the Minnesota Star Tribune that a supervisor mentioned the artist had received death threats over the artwork, prompting them to leave the state. it is absurd that someone is threatening to kill someone over dried beans because they misunderstood slang, Breuch commented to CBS News.
