Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its leader, Imran Khan, have taken a dangerous turn in recent times, adopting an anti-state stance that harms the country rather than serving its people. Their continuous efforts to portray themselves as victims while undermining national institutions reveal their true intentions. This shift from a political party to a movement of instability has raised concerns about their role in damaging Pakistan’s interests. Instead of engaging in constructive political dialogue, they have resorted to cheap tactics that only weaken the country’s image on the international stage.
Imran Khan, who once held the highest office in Pakistan, now finds himself imprisoned due to corruption charges. His supporters, however, refuse to accept the legal process and continue to create narratives that portray him as an innocent victim. It is important to understand that his arrest is not about political revenge but about accountability. Every leader should be held accountable for their actions, and Khan is no exception. Rather than addressing the charges against him in a legal manner, he and his party have taken the path of misinformation and rebellion. Their efforts to seek external interventions, including attempts to involve foreign powers in Pakistan’s internal matters, show their desperation. No responsible political party should encourage such actions that compromise the country’s sovereignty.
The recent push by PTI to gain sympathy through international lobbying is another example of their misguided approach. The introduction of the Pakistan Democracy Act by U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson, which targets Pakistan’s military leadership, is being celebrated by PTI as a victory. However, this move does not harm the military; instead, it exposes PTI’s true nature to the nation. By supporting foreign interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs, PTI has shown that its interests are no longer aligned with the country’s well-being but with its own survival. This act of seeking help from external forces against national institutions is nothing short of betrayal. A genuine political party works within the system to bring change, not by inviting foreign intervention.
PTI’s tactics have become increasingly bizarre and desperate. They have spread conspiracy theories, attacked state institutions, and promoted narratives that directly harm Pakistan’s stability. Instead of taking responsibility for their failures, they blame the military, judiciary, and other institutions for their downfall. This approach has only isolated them further from mainstream politics. Their leaders and supporters have repeatedly crossed red lines, openly challenging the state in ways that no responsible political entity should. It is one thing to criticize policies, but it is entirely different to openly work against national institutions and seek their downfall.

Imran Khan’s arrest should have been an opportunity for PTI to reorganize itself and focus on a lawful political struggle. However, they have chosen to go down a path of chaos. Instead of proving their innocence in court, they have resorted to propaganda, trying to shift the focus away from the corruption charges. Their inability to present evidence in their defense and their continued reliance on emotional appeals show that they have no real answers. It is clear that they are using these tactics not for justice but to manipulate their followers into believing that Khan is being persecuted for his beliefs rather than his crimes.
PTI’s actions have also created divisions within the country. By constantly attacking the military and judiciary, they have set a dangerous precedent that encourages disrespect for national institutions. Their narrative suggests that any legal action against them is part of a grand conspiracy, which is far from the truth. The legal system operates based on evidence, and if Khan and his party believe they are innocent, they should fight their case in court rather than in the media. Their unwillingness to do so raises serious doubts about their claims.
Pakistan has faced numerous challenges over the years, including political instability, economic crises, and security threats. At a time when unity is needed, PTI’s divisive politics only add to the country’s problems. Their repeated calls for protests and resistance against state institutions create an environment of uncertainty and unrest. No country can progress if its political leaders encourage an anti-state mindset among their supporters. This reckless behavior does not harm the military or judiciary; it only damages the nation’s image and slows down its progress.
The people of Pakistan must recognize PTI’s true intentions. Their leadership has chosen to fight against the state instead of working towards national development. They have aligned themselves with forces that have no interest in Pakistan’s stability. Their recent actions prove that they are willing to go to any extent, even if it means harming the country’s sovereignty. This is not how a responsible political party behaves. True leaders accept accountability, work within the system, and prioritize the nation’s welfare over personal gains.
PTI’s shift towards an anti-state stance is now clearer than ever. Their desperate attempts to create instability, their reliance on foreign support, and their open defiance of national institutions expose their real agenda. Pakistan deserves better leadership, leaders who work for progress rather than division. The people must reject these tactics and support those who genuinely want to see the country flourish.
