CCC, Elliott, and GTCR have not yet responded to requests for comment from Reuters. The potential acquisition comes after earlier reports that Copart, an online vehicle auctioneer, had also explored buying CCC. In July, Reuters noted that CCC was considering a sale, having hired Morgan Stanley to assist with the process and reaching out to potential buyers, including private equity firms.
