Double Murderer Simon Levy Sentenced to Additional 22 Years for Naval Sexual Assaults
Simon Levy, a whole-life sentence inmate, receives an extra 22 years in prison for sexually assaulting naval recruits and a teenager. Read the full report.
POLICY WIRE — London, United Kingdom — A former Royal Navy petty officer currently serving life for two murders has been ordered to an additional 22 years behind bars for historical sexual offenses.
Simon Levy, a 40-year-old from Tottenham born on August 14, 1985, was found guilty of sexually assaulting three young naval recruits and a 14-year-old boy during the 1990s.
The sentencing follows Levy’s conviction for the brutal murders of 53-year-old Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo and Sheryl Wilkins.
Valencia-Trujillo was killed in March 2025, while Wilkins was murdered in August of that same year.
In addition to the murder charges, Levy was already serving a whole-life sentence alongside two other life sentences related to the rape of a third woman.
Records indicate that Levy was previously reported to the Metropolitan Police for a sexual assault, but the Crown Prosecution Service opted not to bring charges against him at that time.
Following that decision to release him, Levy carried out two separate assaults on two different women in the following year.
Authorities have described the man as a sexual sadist and a serial offender who continued his pattern of violence despite being under the monitoring of law enforcement.
