Dolph Lundgren Reveals ‘Legal Suicide’ Thoughts During Cancer Battle, Later Discovered Misdiagnosed

POLICY WIRE — Los Angeles, United States — Dolph Lundgren, known for his role in ‘Rocky IV,’ has revealed he considered ‘legal suicide’ during the most challenging moments of his cancer treatment, according to his new memoir.

The 68-year-old actor was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and announced he had been given the all-clear in 2024. In his book, ‘Fights Worth Fighting: Finding Strength in Struggle,’ Lundgren described asking his brother for help in ending his life when he felt overwhelmed by his condition.

He explained that he was considering legal options in countries like Switzerland, where assisted dying is permitted for terminally ill patients. However, after meeting a specialist, Dr. Alexandra Drakaki, he was found to have been misdiagnosed with kidney cancer, when in fact he had lung cancer. Lundgren later shared a video on social media confirming he was cancer-free.
