Metropolitan Police detectives have handed over a file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) concerning these new allegations. The file includes reports from five women and two unidentified individuals, detailing incidents of rape and the administration of substances with intent to commit sexual offenses.
\n
The submitted file encompasses several alleged offenses, such as rape and the use of drugs to incapacitate victims. Five women came forward after an initial police appeal, while two other alleged rapes involving unidentified women are also part of the evidence.
\n
Chao Xu, from Greenwich, has admitted to 24 offenses against six women, and police suspect there may be many more victims. Xu concealed cameras in his home and drugged women, leading to his guilty plea.
\n
Following the police appeal, 23 women have reported their experiences to the Metropolitan Police Service. Detectives believe there are still more victims yet to be identified and are urging them to come forward and seek support.

False accusations can erode the trust that genuine victims and survivors of rape place in the police and criminal justice system. The message from law enforcement is clear: when you are ready, we are here to listen and support you, not to question your truth.
